Final project
Period One Proposals
1. In the Roman Catholic Church, women should be granted the sacrament of Holy Orders.
2. Contraception should be accepted by the Catholic Church.
3. Homosexuals of the Catholic faith should be granted equal rights and should be allowed to partake in all religious sacraments in the Catholic Church.
4. Women of the church should have equal rights as men, and therefore should be allowed to profess their faith by obtaining the sacrament of Holy Orders.
5. Contrary to the Catholic Church doctrine, here should be one set of rules in all dioceses for wedding ceremonies, rather than each church with its own rules.
6. The Catholic Church should regulate the punishment of priests who are guilty of molestation.
7. We propose for the Catholic Church to change to routine of the mass to a more contemporary feel.
Period TWO proposals
1. Those who commit suicide without full understanding their actions can still go to heaven as long as they lived a just life to the laws of man and God.
2. Women should not be restricted from ordination by the Canon Law and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, they should have equal restrictions and expectations as any male priest or deacon.
3. Homosexuals should be accepted and allowed to receive all sacraments especially the sacrament of marriage in the Catholic Church.
4. The Church should allow contraception because it has more benefits than consequences.
5. The Catholic Church should defrock the clergymen once aware of them committing pedophilia.
6. Some holy sacraments should conform to today’s modern ideas and beliefs.
